WADING THROUGH THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
Today is the day! The Nordstrom Anniversary sale opens to the public today! Ready? Set? Get your
shop on! If you don't have a Nordstrom Card & weren't able to shop the pre-sale, I went through almost every single item and pulled the ones I think are worth a buy or at least a glance. I'd say I was a little disappointed by some of the selections this year. I feel the last few years almost everything was worth a purchase, but this year you had to wade through the shit items to get to the good items. I did purchase quite a bit and I'll post those next week, but so far my favorite has to be the Steve Madden booties with the side slit. So without further ado, lets talk about the sale that everyone and their mom has blogged about!
First up, beau-tae products. Y'all know I love me some beauty products. I did end up buying the Laura Mercier Lip Pencil & Lip Stick kit in Rose & the Diptyque small votive set (only sold in stores). I really wanted the Drybar set with the curling iron, brushes & hair product, but for me the 1.25 inch curling iron is too wide for my hair. But c'mon on, $209 marked down to $140 is a pretty good deal! Oh and the Nars blush palette is a must! It's made specifically for this sale. I may need to go back and purchase it since I couldn't decide if I wanted it or not. I hope the stores restock the NeuLash Serum because you basically get a BOGO free situation. And from what I hear, it last forever! Don't forget the GlamGlow! One large jar alone is $60, so you get a few smaller jars that are $18 each! BUY IT!!!! Skim through and see what else is listed!
Accessories!! Handbags, scarfs & necklaces! Oh MY!!! First off, if Kendra Scott goes on sale to less than $50, buy it, don't hesitate! And my favorite Rebecca Minkoff bag (CC Boy Bag knock off for those of use that are poor) is less that $200! And who doesn't love a blanket scarf? Buy that shit & blog the hell out of it! #Basic! This really is about it with accessories. They didn't have a whole whole lot that I thought was worth it. I personally skipped these items as I purchased a few purses like 2 months ago. But their are good deals.
Gotta look good while working on your fitness! I mean colorful workout pants by Zella are a good deal no mater how you look at it. I am dyyyyying over the bright blue Zella pants with the white flowers! But lets be real, my yoga pants (work out specific pants) have not seen a gym in years. But Trader Joe's has seen them! Pants seem to be the hot ticket discounted items. Followed by ADIDAS tops. Again, didn't even purchase anything. Just looked and that's it.
So I love every dress I have linked! I mean there is no going wrong. The O'Neil Lucy Dress & the Maggy London body-con dress are my favorites!! And for someone like me who lives in all black everything, these super colorful dresses, both under $100 (the O'Neil is only $32!!) are such a steal! Get them before they are gone.
Pants, hmmm, the AG Legging Jeans are heaven! It's a shame I can't wear them to work because of the holes. Sad face. But I did get me some leggings. In fact I got the Yummy by Heather (from RHONY! Holla!!) leggings. They are $32 and high waisted, so I'm sold. Hue had some great leggings for $24 & I find them to be good quality that last you a good while! Oh and the Visgoss jeans, love them! They have a few pairs for under $30. I just wish they didn't sell out of my size in all of them. Hoping the restock them tomorrow.
Are we done yet? No, we got sweaters still. I did pick up the Free People Shadow Open Back Sweater ($45) in green. I figured since I got the Trouve Side Slit sweater ($45) in gray, I needed to not by another gray sweater. I also picked up the BP oversized cardigan for $38! Very Nirvana circa 1992. Too bad it's too hot out right now! If you see it in stock, get it, don't think twice, just put it in your cart & hit check out!
Oh finally! Here we are to the final category! Halle-lu! And it's shhhooooooees!! Gimme all the booties, knee high boots & flats! No for real! I picked up the Steve Madden Sharini Bootie & I love it! Save $40, so I'm happy! Also, go a half size larger. They run a little tight, so if you have a fat foot like me, it's gonna seem snug. How bout those Halogen lace up flats? Mixed feelings on them. I've heard they are comfortable but i've also heard the hurt your ankles. But the animal print ones are to die for! It's a shame my calves are too damn big cause those knee high boots are amazing & such a good deal! When you to get knee high boots for less than a $100 and they are great quality, you really are the winner! So there we are ladies! I'm forever done talking about this sale until next year. I mean i'm gonna blog my purchases, cause then I wouldn't be a good blogger now would I? Enjoy!!!!!
