BEAUTY DUPE // GARNIER MOISTURE RESCUE GEL vs CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE

 Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Cream Normal/Combo Skin & Dry Skin

For as long as I can remember, I have been on the hunt for a good day & night moisturizer.  I have, or what i thought I had, oily skin.  But the last few months of research and testing skin care products

designed for oily skin, I have realized that I have combo skin.  Every face wash made my skin so dehydrated, that it cracked and felt like it was burning.  Which then lead me on a path on trying to find products for dry skin, but that made the oil production worse, which made my makeup literally drip off.  Finally, a nice MUA at Sephora who was helping me find the right shade of foundation said she had a great super moisturizer that should help with my dehydrated skin. She gave a sample of Clinique's Moisture Surge for a few days.  I tried it out, and it was pretty good, but my god the price for that jar is a little outrageous. 1.7 oz jar is $39.  Yeah, no thanks!  So I went to Walmart and did a little searching and found that Garnier had a similar gel based moisturizer.  Name sounded similar, looks similar, and for less than $7 for a 1.7 oz jar, why not!  I've been testing the Garnier Moisture Rescue for Normal/Combo skin for over a month and can say, it is hands down uh-mazing! Clinique who?? I am telling you folks, this stuff is beyond words amazing.  

I use it before my makeup and before I go to bed.  It's light enough to wear under your makeup and your foundation will not feel cakey, but it's also light enough that you don't feel oily or greasy when you go to bed.  My skin has never felt more smooth and it looks so refreshed.  I have become such a fan of Garnier products these last few months, that they really are some of my only products I will use. My 2nd favorite being the Micellar water.  Which I use that in the mornings instead of washing my face to keep my skin from becoming even more dehydrated with a face wash.  In the world of drugstore beauty products, Garnier really is one of the best on the shelves! Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
