WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS.... PART UN

We all know the aying, but really it doesn't stay in Vegas when you bring your DSLR & phone to
snap every place you went to. **This post is picture heavy** We arrived in Vegas on Sunday, just in time for the final night of EDC. If you don't know what EDC is, please click here. You can only image what we saw!

So we stayed at Planet Hollywood. (I have no idea where any of my photos are of the actual hotel, weird.)  Great location on the strip. Pretty centralized to most hotels. Room was kind of eh since it wasn't one of the newly remodeled rooms, but our view was kind of amazing.  Direct views of Bellagio Fountains, Paris hot air ballon & the Eiffel Tower. Also there's a big ass 1.2 mile mall that surrounds the hotel. So if you're bored with the casino, go shopping! The negatives about this place don't outweigh the positives. One big thing for me is it is in desperate need of an upgrade. I mean the faucets in our room were from the hotels Aladdin days. And it hasn't been the Aladdin since 2007. The only other complain I'd have is the ridiculous amount of street performers & kids loitering in front of the Miracle Mile Shops. However I did see Dennis Rodman playing plastic bucket drums on Tuesday night.  Random right?

So bear with me, but this is going to be a 3 part series. Yes 3 parts, but I promise it's all good stuff. From my favorite hotels, to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum & finishing with my favorite part of the trip, the Neon Museum. A slice of Vegas history in bright lights.

View from hotel during the day.
Night View of Paris & Bally's from hotel room.

We all know the Bellagio Hotel.  It was the hotel the Oceans 11 crew robbed back in the 2001 movie.  Probably one of the nicest hotels on the strip.  I stayed here last year, and the only real complaint I have besides our room being in the back tower that takes forever to get to or from, is it's lack of places to get a quick meal.  But really, if you stay at the Bellagio, are you trying to penny pinch? Probably not.  I mean they do have the best mall for those big spenders (not me!).  But they do have the conservatory where the entire display is made out of flowers & theme this summer is Under the Sea.  And who can forget the best free show around, the Fountains of Bellagio.  These fountains are choreographed to various music and the night we were there, it was Time To Say Goodnight by Sarah Brightman & Andrea Bocelli.

Best shopping for those with deep pockets.

Fact: Caesar never lived here. But it sure would be a beautiful place to live full time. Caesars by far is my favorite. I have yet to stay here, but i promised myself next time I would. I just love the fact this hotel caters not only to deep pockets, but those on a budget. And there's so much to do here besides gamble. I'm waiting for Celine to come back in September.  Yes, i'm a Celine Dion fan. No shame. Oh but don't forget to try Serendipity that's right out front. The food is so good!

This place has nearly 4,000 rooms. Don't get lost!
Caesars is celebrating 50 years old! Happy Birthday!
Beautiful Brahma Shrine in front of Caesars.
One of the many fountains in Caesars. This one is located in the Forum Shops. There's over 160 stores & are open as late as 11 pm Sun-Thur & till 12 am Fri & Sat.
Swear to you this is the largest H&M ever! See that 3? That's the 3rd level. So much to look at.

Stay tuned for Sunday's post.  How much trouble can I get into?

XOXO-
Shannon B.
